Meet the Characters:
- Ryu Seon-jae (played by Woo-seok) is a top-tier K-pop idol who, despite the glamour, is unhappy. He feels exhausted by the demanding entertainment industry and is contemplating quitting his career.
- Im Sol (played by Hye-yoon) is a die-hard fan of Seon-jae. When she learns of his sudden death, she is heartbroken. Determined to change the future, she travels back in time to meet her idol when he was 19.
The story skillfully blends thrilling moments with blossoming romance, keeping viewers engaged and curious about what will happen next. The chemistry between Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon is undeniable, making them an on-screen couple you can’t help but root for. They bring their characters to life with both silly and intense reactions. While their individual story arcs are still unfolding, their performances are already shining.
Directors Boo Sung-chul, Yoon Jong-ho, and Kim Tae-yeong have skillfully used beloved K-drama elements to make viewers fall in love with the lead couple. Based on the first two episodes, ‘Lovely Runner’ is off to a strong start and has the potential to become one of the most beloved dramas of the year.
